Nursing & Allied Health Sciences education is the main workforce in the patient care but is facing acute shortage in Pakistan. The sister concern Liaquat college of Nursing & Allied Health Sciences under the able guidance of Prof. Dr. Navid Rashid Qureshi, Dr. Rashid Naseem Khan has taken the responsibility to promote high quality of Nursing & Allied education in Pakistan to meet up the deficiency. Mr. Rao M. Arsalan, Administrator of the institute is fully responsible for administration. We have introduced the L.P.N. (License Practical Nurse) and other allied programmes. These are cost effective diploma programmes which are conducted under the highly qualified teaching staff. The training facility is provided by our renowned Darul Sehat Hospital & Qamar Dental Hospital.

Our mission is to create awareness in the society about Nursing & Allied programmes and its importance in hospitals. Focus on patient care, promoting safe and sound care in the most optimum setting as possible.
One year diploma of nursing assistant which was started in 2011 has been very effective programme. Many of our graduates are now serving in different hospitals and laboratories. Now we have introduced a new course of nursing that is licensed practical nurse (LPN) for only female candidates approved by the Pakistan Nursing Council. This course was introduced in 2015. The college has completed its admission of first batch and the classes are in progress. We are now looking forward to moving higher towards the bachelor of nursing. We will manage to initiate this bachelor degree programme with the approval of Pakistan Nursing Council.
Many of the following Allied Health Sciences courses which were started in 2003 have left a great impact in hospital industries, DENTAL HYGIENIST, DENTAL SURGERY ASSISTANT, O.T. TECHNICIAN, LABORATORY TECHNICIAN, X-RAY TECHNICIAN, I, C, U, TECHNICIAN, E.C.G TECHNICIAN. These courses have not only benefited the students but also were useful to the hospital. Under this consideration, we have taken permission from Sindh Medical Faculty to introduce the following new courses in the better interest of community at large, ANESTHESIA TECHNICIAN, DISPENSER TECHNICIAN OPHTHALMOLOGY, TECHNICIAN & PHYSIOTHERAPY TECHNICIAN.
These courses are already in session and we hope Insha’Allah these will give good results.
Our future plan is to get recognition of the bachelor degree of Physiotherapy, Pharmacy and Nursing by the university.
