Head of Department Message

Welcome! It is my privilege and honor to become the Head of the Department. Orthodontics is the branch that globally provides alignment of the teeth and jaw. Our staff including doctors, technicians endeavour for providing skilled orthodontic treatment to our patients. Furthermore, we provide unsurpassed education to our orthodontics residents and as well as to our ongoing graduate students.

Moreover, we consider our work as the "state of art" in which we passionately deliver our best state of performance.

Departments Introduction:

As considering one of the leading institute for providing pre and post-graduate education. the department of Orthodontics in LCMD has been spearheading the way of clinical excellence for building a strong foundation of evidence-based orthodontics.

The Department includes modern orthodontics OPD, equipped with 08 dental units reception and waiting area, the fully equipped laboratory for plasterwork, Cephalometric tracing room and a dedicated room for residents.

Undergraduate Program

The graduate program introduces & prepares competent students for practicing the orthodontics. It enables the students to establish the general diagnosis and makes appropriate treatment plan for their relevant diagnosis.

Postgraduate Programs

The department is recognized by CPSP for conducting fellowship program in the discipline of Orthodontics since 2015.

The 4 years training oers evidence-based that move toward in diagnosis and treatment planning as well as the informative courses such as Biomechanics, Growth and Development. Residents are encouraged to enthusiastically participate in academic sessions eg: case presentations, seminars, and literature review. They are exposed to multidisciplinary cases eg. orthognathic surgery, cleft lip and palate, and craniofacial anomaly. They are also introduced to various treatment performances from highly qualied and experienced faculty. All residents are mentored and encouraged to be certied orthodontists.
